In July of 1993, Proetisa applied to the CSN for Authorisation to run Specific Courses for operators and supervisors who worked with density and humidity measurement devices (CPN and Troxler).
The courses put to CSN had two lists of topics, one General (physics, radiation protection, etc.) and the other Specific (description of the CPN and Troxler devices, equipment maintenance, applications of the equipment, solution of "high humidity" worksite problems, etc.), and also the Practical element (simulation of an accident with a device and carrying out tests with the equipment on soils and agglomerates).
Once the lists of topics had been determined, in the month of May, Proetisa ran the first Specific Course for Supervisors of second category radioactive facilities who work with CPN and Troxler equipment, of only five days duration. A month later, in June, Proetisa ran the first Specific Course for Operators of second category radioactive facilities who work with CPN and Troxler equipment, of only three days duration.
Courses for Supervisors and Operators of radioactive facilities on soil density and humidity measurement instruments using the nuclear method.
Aimed at Second Category Radioactive Facilities.
The courses run by Proetisa, in addition to being of much shorter duration than those offered by other bodies, have the advantage that once passed, the Operator or Supervisor Licence is granted automatically by the Nuclear Safety Council without the need for a second exam.
Not forgetting that... Who better than the vendors to run a specific course on CPN and Troxler devices, which includes applications of the equipment, the carrying out of tests, etc.,?
